we are leaving portsmouth about 0830, usually stop at northampton sainsburys for a coffee on the way up, if that fits in with anyones plans?

To be honest If we are planning on going up the A1 then the guys coming up from the south east will be coming into northampton and back the way they came, I think it's probably best to find out who's coming and from where before any meeting place is decided,last time we went to yorkshire we met up near the A1 and had some brekkie at st neots,nice little place and pretty central to all routes and right next to the A1.

im easy, i dont know the area we just know the sainsburys cos we go past it on the way up to the BMF show, on our usual newbury/oxford/northampton route. from then on we're on the satnag anyway so can meet anywhere

Quick update, there's now three of us starting out from my place, Recycler is coming up from Falmouth the night before to break the journey in half and mark is coming up from colchester in the morning so anyone else wishing to meet up with us is quite welcome, pm me and I'll give you the address or we'll pick a spot and meet there. The A1 is about 20 minutes east from where I am and the M1 is about 6 minutes from the west to me but can arrange a meet nearer to either if that's what people prefer.

we'll probably be ready for some lunch when we get up there, so is there a cafe or burgervan that you guys know we can meet at that wont poison us?

I have to work at home until 8am so may have to catch you up if you are all meeting early.
