    Headlight Mesh RD07a and others

I am well impressed. Just got a prototype Headlight Mesh off BobA and fitted it to my RD07a. They are meant for an earlier model but quite easily and neatly fit the RD07a

A few screws and 2 bolts and off come the nose cone - pop this over the lights and undwer the rubber - back on with the nose cone and Bobs your uncle - well he isn't but you know what I mean!!

I did modify it just a little - I rounded off the top corners to make it fit inside the rubber better and took off the 2 clips either side - they are not needed and the fit is better without them.

Great proi duct and I think really makes the AT look good.

Here are the photos so judge for yourself.

Re: Headlight Mesh RD07a and others

    Blimey, I'm well impressed!!

These are actually reproductions of the (now discontinued) headlamp guard fitted to the original Africa Twin XRV650 RD03, so I was pleasantly surprised when Angelo asked me to make one for his RD07a and it has fitted really nicely.

I'm not officially selling these, and I can only make them to order, as I only have one mould and they take atleast 4 hours to make and cure.

I can supply them in black or white, and they are injection moulded from a cold (well warm'ish) pour material that is similar (but not the same) to ABS.

If anyone is seriously interested, please PM me with your request and home address and I'll give you a price.

Many Thanks to Angelo for taking the time to take and post the pictures and fitting idea.

Pictures of both grilles fitted to an RD03 HERE

    Regards

    Bob

    PM? I can't...
But a white one would suit me well.

It really suits the RD07A well!

    Edit:

If I had F-Book I could but all the K Lindberg there is not me.

I honestly never considered it would fit anything other than an RD03, so it was a nice surprise to see it look so good on an RD07.

I'll have a test fit on the RD04 and let you know.

    Hi Bob

I too would be very interested in a white one for my new RD04 steed and also to see whether there is enough gap to still fit the perspex glass covers that go directly onto the lens behind your new cover

Belt and braces an' all that

Are you coming to the National Bob?

    Regards

    Paul
